The House secured patents for advancements in watch movements and setting mechanisms, cementing its reputation as both retailer and technical pioneer.

To mark 160 years since the debut of the original Tiffany Timer, Tiffany & Co. unveils a new limited-edition chronograph that unites the House’s jewelry heritage with its storied watchmaking legacy. With a lacquered Tiffany Blue^™ dial, diamond hour markers and an exclusive El Primero movement featuring a miniature Bird on a Rock, the new Tiffany Timer is a tribute to precision, craft and the enduring pioneering spirit of Tiffany & Co. 

At the turn of the 20th century, Tiffany & Co. had become synonymous with jewelry watches that fused elegant design with unrivaled Swiss precision. The House’s status was further affirmed in 1912, when three prominent New York families approached Tiffany to create a custom pocket watch as a token of gratitude for Captain Arthur H. Rostron of RMS Carpathia, who rescued them and 700 other passengers from the sinking of the Titanic.
