The Legendary Bird: Argyle Edition
Inspired by the House’s emblematic Bird on a Rock, our Legendary Bird: Argyle Edition brooch captures the motif’s bold artistry and showcases Tiffany & Co.’s mastery of rare gemstones. Adorned with rare Argyle Pink™ diamonds and perched on a sculpted gold branch set with over 500 diamonds, the design celebrates the House’s long-standing commitment to creativity, gemstone provenance and exceptional craft.
Winners of the Jury’s Special Prize
Tiffany & Co. received the Jury’s Special Prize for the Cascade natural saltwater pearl necklace, the Shooting Star necklace and the Legendary Bird: Argyle Edition, each designed by Nathalie Verdeille, Chief Artistic Officer, Jewelry and High Jewelry in collaboration with the Tiffany & Co. Design Studio.
The Cascade Necklace
Inspired by Jean Schlumberger’s Leaves design, the Cascade necklace features delicate gold “vines” and diamond-encrusted leaves that move with the wearer. Each pearl in the design—sourced from the renowned Al Fardan collection, the world’s foremost authority on natural saltwater pearls—exemplifies exceptional rarity, and was meticulously selected for its remarkable luster, color and shape.
The Shooting Star Necklace
An expression of movement and light, this exceptional Blue Book high jewelry necklace weaves together gold ribbons with the whimsical allure of shooting stars. It culminates in a magnificent D-color, internally flawless type IIa diamond of 18.67 carats—one of the rarest and most exquisite diamonds in the world. This remarkable diamond can be removed and worn as a ring, showcasing Tiffany & Co.’s unwavering pursuit of inventiveness and unparalleled craft.
Winner of the Heritage Prize
The Grand Prix honored the Butterflies choker with the Heritage Prize for its timeless artistry and storied history. Designed in 1956 by Jean Schlumberger and now held in the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Collection, the piece was inspired by his friend, philanthropist and horticulturist Rachel “Bunny” Mellon, who envisioned a necklace capturing the beauty of butterflies. Showcasing a medley of diamonds, turquoise, amethysts, sapphires and spinels, it was among Schlumberger’s first high jewelry commissions for Tiffany & Co., arranged to showcase its dynamic colors and evoke the graceful movement of butterflies in flight.
